Webb Gallery was born in Waxahachie, Texas in 1987. What started as a passion/obsession for old handmade items such as painted or repaired objects, fraternal lodge items, carnival banners, tramp art, memory jugs, quilts, and just killer oddball stuff became a continuous quest for the unusual. The Webbs have been crisscrossing Texas, the South, the Midwes, and just about any hole in the wall across the countryt in search of the miraculous for more than a decade.
In 1989, the Webbs began the inevitable evolution of searching for self-taught artists to collect their creations and document their stories. In addition to obcessive collecting, Bruce & Julie lecture and curate exhibits in schools, universities, and museums across the country. The focus at the gallery is ever evolving while continuing with the goal to show "what we love".
Webb Gallery houses a huge collection of self taught art, really great art, old fraternal lodge objects, carnival banners ,vintage anonymous art, and just plain kick ass stuff. Webb Gallery often hosts events, including films, musical performances, speakers, reveling parties and socials.
