Description:

The Mexican fisherman asked, "But, how long will this all take?" To which the American replied, "15 - 20 years."

"But what then?" asked the Mexican.

The American laughed and said, "That's the best part. When the time is right you would sell your company stock to the public and become very rich; you would make millions!"

    "Millions - then what, senor?"

The American said, "Then you would retire. Move to a small coastal fishing village where you would sleep late, fish a little, play with your kids, take siestas with your wife, stroll to the village in the evenings where you could sip wine and play your guitar with your amigos."

Our beginning

September 23, 2010, a small extract homebrew kit arrived at the apartment door. Having no clue how it was done Cory and a group of friends attempted to brew the batch of beer. It was awful! However we learned from it and ordered another kit. Drew joined us for batch two a few weeks later and something has been fermenting ever since.

We continued brewing but it was not until about a year later when things really began to take form. Our beers started to taste better and we started brewing every single Tuesday. This Tuesday night event became so consistent that people just started showing up to "help brew". While a few did actually help, most came to drink the creations and have a good time.

As time past, our knowledge and experience grew and our beers continued to improve. We joined BASH, Corpus Christi's homebrew club and became active members. The good will, and great knowledge of these local brewers is outstanding and they have helped us in many ways.

It is many home brewer's dream to open a brewery, but as luck would have it I (Cory) married a wonderful women (Jess) who has always pushed for the brewery to happen. She was the one who originally introduced me to good beer, and together we have visited many great breweries and shared many amazing beers. Without her this brewery would not exist. She is the person behind the name Lazy Beach and so much more. It was together that we started saving and planning how to make our dream a reality. Together we blindly jumped in and today it is a reality.

It was this fun Tuesday event filled with laughter and great friends that ultimately drove us to start the Brewery. Now we open up our taproom every week to continue the tradition.

Sleep late, fish a little, play with your kids, take siestas with your wife, relax and enjoy a beer while you play guitar with your amigos in our small coastal city..
