Welcome Aboard!

Battleship Texas took part in some of the most significant naval battles of the 20th century during both world wars. Now docked along the Houston Ship Channel, she serves as a memorial to those turbulent times. Come walk her decks, and imagine life as a sailor!

Things to Do

Explore the battleship on your own or on a guided tour. We offer a variety of tours and programs, as well as student programs.

Picnic nearby at San Jacinto Battleground State Historic Site. You will find picnic tables, grills and water faucets in the park. Rent the picnic pavilion overlooking Buffalo Bayou for your group gathering. Hold your next meeting in the ship’s conference room.

Our park store sells souvenirs and gift items, and a snack bar is open on weekends. The ship is accessible by wheelchair on the Main Deck only.
