Join a ranger to learn about the plants and other resources native people used in our area!

Do you know what natural resources could help you survive out in the wild? Join a ranger to learn about the plants, fungi and other resources utilized by the Comanche, Apache and other native peoples for their survival before the luxuries we now have today. Resources utilized by early European settlers will be covered as well. The science behind the medicinal plants will be discussed as well as their use, safety and efficacy.

- Where to meet: Texas Oak Trailhead
- What to bring: sturdy walking shoes, sense of curiosity
- This program is free with park entrance. Program is weather dependent.
