About Us:

In 1994 Chuck and Kama Bozeman purchased a 32 acre tract of land on Interstate 20 in Canton, Texas, and prepared it for the first planting of Virginia Pine and Lob-lolly Pine in January of 1995.  More trees were planted every year and in 2000 , the Canton Christmas Tree Farm was open for business.  It was a primitive beginning with a large tent, a generator for power and offered our customers complimentary hay rides and barrel train rides.  Every year more attractions were added along with school field trips.  In 2005, the pumpkin patch fall season was added along with the beginning of nostalgic mechanical amusement rides.

An additional 10 acres was purchased in 2011 to enable further growth and expansion.  And, after eleven seasons, the Canton Christmas Tree Farm had outgrown its name.  Chuck commented, “We were so much more than just a choose and cut Christmas tree farm.”  So … welcome to YesterLand Farm!

Chuck was a career fire fighter and Kama had been a real estate appraiser.  In the summer of 2011 Kama ended her appraisal career to give the farm her full time and much deserved attention. With the farm growing by leaps and bounds, Chuck retired from the fire department in 2013 to be a full time farmer/developer. Chuck and Kama have two children, Jordan and Brock, who have grown up working at the farm.  Jordan graduated from college with her degree in marketing and lives in Arkansas with her husband Jeff and their two children. She wants to put her marketing and event planning skills to work at the farm one day. Her most immediate job is being mom to the Bozeman’s grandchildren. She remembers at the age of five carrying a bag of seedlings along side Kama who was planting at the time. Brock has graduated from fire academy and EMT school and is currently a firefighter for the City of Athens. He has an intricate role in farm maintenance, development and operation. Kama says, “We have had the farm longer than Brock, so it is all he knows. As a family we have settled into our farm roles and work closely as a team.”

They feel blessed to have YesterLand Farm and to be a part of the visitors’ fun farm experiences, special family times and Christmas traditions.
