Class Schedule:

10:30 am – 6:00 pm (full day class, 1.5 hour for lunch)
Lesley Anne Robinson – Designing with Brioche
Cost: $130
Description: Have you been knitting brioche for awhile, but have some ideas of your own that you’d like to explore? Wondering how to take all those ideas and turn them into a reality? In this class, we will be exploring how to use brioche increases and decreases to create unique, one-of-a-kind, never before seen stitch patterns that will be your very own! We will even briefly go over how to apply these new stitch patterns to garments and accessories using specific shaping techniques to create beautifully breath-taking designs!

10:30 am – 1:30 pm: Lily Chin – Reversible Cables
Cost: $65
Description: Simple to execute, cables are almost always worked over stockinette stitch thereby producing a “wrong” side. This is not particularly attractive on a scarf or shawl or afghan where the “wrong side” will be in full view of the public. In this class, learn how cables work, which stitches, yarns and needles are ideal for these reversible cables, and how to chart them so you’ll know what you’ll be getting beforehand. By the end of this class, you will have a sampler of reversible cables plus enough ideas to keep you in stitches for a long, long time.

10:30 am – 1:30 pm: Gavriella Treminio – Crochet for Knitters
Cost: $65
Description: You will learn the basics stitches of crochet! In this class you will create your first granny square that combines the stitches you will learn. You will leave feeling accomplished and satisfied with your new crochet skills to make everything from garments to blankets in the future.

10:30 am – 1:30 pm: Patricia Vela – Two at a Time Toe-Up Socks
Cost: $80
Description: Using the Magic Loop Technique, learn to knit socks two at a time from the toe up.  No more second sock syndrome and ensure that both your socks turn out identical.  The class will show you how to manage your yarn, cast on both socks at the same time, work the heels and give your socks a nice stretchy bind off.  We will be using worsted weight yarn in order to move as quickly as possible through the sock and learn the techniques you can apply to any sock.

1:45 pm – 4:45 pm: Kyla Crawford – Sketch Loom Jewelry
Cost: $70 + $10 materials fee = $80
Materials fee provides yarn, beads, buttons, chain, findings, pliers, and a handout. Sketch looms will be available for use in class.
Description: Learn the basics of weaving a Sketch Loom frame loom and make light weight eye catching jewelry. In this class we will create a pendant while learning how to weave on a frame loom, from start to finish. This is a great way to try weaving and use those tiny scraps of yarn that we just can’t throw out.

3:00 pm – 6:00 pm: Lily Chin – Join as You Go Knitting
Cost: $65
Description: Most knitters avoid seaming like the plague. When working garment pieces or different colored strips, sewing seams daunting. Learn how to join as you go for many situations, including edgings. Join a new piece to the left of an existing piece, to the right of an existing piece, or to the top or bottom of an existing piece. The bonus is that this join will be much less bulky than a traditional seam.

3:00 pm – 6:00 pm: Gavriella Treminio – Making Clay Stitch Markers
Cost: $65 + $7 materials fee = $72
Materials fee provides clay, cutters, and shaping tools
Description: Have you ever wanted to create your own stitch markers for your knitting projects? They are the perfect way to add a little charm to your projects and can be made in your own personal style. Join Gavriella in making polymer clay stitch markers and progress keepers that you can take home the same day! You will leave this class with new clay shaping skills to make everything from charms to earrings. This class includes the materials you will need to create 1 of 4 designs that will be provided as a starting point for your clay adventures.
