Ennis Bluebonnet Trails Festival

Sunday, Apr 14, 2019 from 10:00am to 6:00pm

10:00am - 6:00pm: Arts & Crafts - Enjoy Arts & Crafts, Tasty Food, and Kid's Activities on the streets of Downtown Ennis. Vendor Fees for food and activities vary.

12:30pm - 2:00pm: Gladys and Maybelle - Gladys and Maybelle are Texas bred songbirds that began singing in the Fort Worth Stockyards in August 2010 when they took to the streets to raise money for their yearly voyage to Elvis Week, Memphis, Tennessee. After the warm Fort Worth welcome they continued on with their act, incorporating favorite old-school country songs into their repertoire. They have since written and recorded "Memphis Cash", a full length album of original songs. This singing duo is not hard to spot in their colorful, vintage dresses, petticoats and pillbox hats. For years these two sisters were heard most weekends singing their sibling harmonies and adding to that special magic that the Fort Worth Stockyards holds. Nowadays the Singing Sisters, as HGTV named them, can be spotted at various venues and events in the Lone Star State and beyond warbling their trademark Folkabilly sound.

2:30pm - 4:00pm: Allan Conner - Allan Conner has stayed at the top of his game by being one of the most versatile singers, musicians and entertainers in the industry! From performing with The Beach Boys, Glen Campbell, The Smothers Brothers, Wayne Newton and countless others, to “standing room only” show rooms in Las Vegas, Lake Tahoe, Dallas and all across the nation.

Based in Dallas, Allan has taken his years in the business and has put together a high energy show that will transport the audience back to music of the 40’s, 50’s, 60’s, 70's and 80's. Allan says, “This show is a Vegas Type Show that will appeal to all ages and all music genres. This music is timeless. My shows are always family friendly. I like to get the audience involved so the audience is just an extension of the stage!" His fully choreographed tribute to Motown is a must see! Allan is as equally at home with a 16 piece big band singing Sinatra or Buble' as he is with his seven piece show band singing Diamond. His Neil Diamond impression is considered one of the industries finest. Upon hearing Allan singing ‘Sweet Caroline,’ Wayne Newton remarked, “He sounds more like Neil than Neil!”
