Dallas Memorial March

March with your families and friends to remember those who made the ultimate sacrifice for our freedom.

The Dallas Memorial March is our flagship event and is a two-day embodiment of our values and mission to celebrate our heroes, embrace the fallen, and educate communities on how to respectfully observe Memorial Day.

In 2011, veteran U.S. Navy SEALs Stephen Holley and Clint Bruce completed a 20-hour, 11-minute Memorial March around White Rock Lake in Dallas.

They marched to remind the nation about the true meaning of the sacrifices made for our freedom. More than a decade later, Carry The Load is a worldwide movement that honors our nation’s heroes and makes Memorial Day matter again.

We encourage all Americans to do something meaningful on Memorial Day, even just pausing at 3pm to remember all those who made the ultimate sacrifice for our freedom.

12pm  Kid Zone Opens  

3:45pm  Opening Ceremony

4:30pm  Step off together to begin the 20-hour March (see route guide)

6pm Walk overnight on the Katy Trail

7pm Kid Zone Closes

7:30pm Join us for a short film in the park

10am Gates open to the public

10am – 1pm Kid Zone Opens

11:15am Meet at the Katy Trail Ice House to participate in the Storyboard procession

11:30am  Closing Ceremony

1:00pm Event Ends

Teams that raise $5,000 or more on their team page before May 17th will earn a spot in the VIP Village.
