Slayter Creek Park is located west of Anna High School on Rosamond Parkway and includes a variety of recreational amenities including: four ball fields (two lighted), four tennis courts, two basketball goals, a large multi-purpose athletic field, a 3600 foot walking trail, a skateboard park, a playground, horseshoe pits, a shuffleboard court, a large pavilion, and a concession building with restrooms. Major funding to construct the park was provided by the city of Anna, a grant from the State of Texas, and donations from the Anna Community Development Corporation and Anna Youth Sports Association. Additional phases of the park have not yet been funded but will include the replacement of two older ball fields with lighted fields, another multi-purpose athletic field, additional trails, skate park equipment, and a permanent parking area.
